A classic drink such as this mulled wine is
wonderful to enjoy around Christmas.
Ingredients
serve 4
⅓ cup sugar (70g)
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 cup fresh orange juice
750 ml red wine
¼ cup brandy (60ml)
Method
Place sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and
orange juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil while stirring,
add red wine and brandy. Simmer for approx. 5 minutes before serving in tall
glasses with dried fruit such as sultanas or currants.
Note: To make it alcohol free use red fruit and apple juice instead of
red wine and brandy.
