These great fruity scones is perfect for
morning tea.
Ingredients

500 g self raising flour
100 g caster sugar
10 g salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
100 g butter
170 g banana puree
270 g milk
135 g finely chopped apple
150 g finely chopped dates
Method
Preheat oven to 200ºC fan forced (220ºC
normal bake). Place flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon into a bowl and combine.
Rub butter into the flour mix with your hands. In another bowl combine banana
puree, milk, apple and dates, add this mix to the flour and combine. Place on a
workbench dusted with flour and roll or press out to a thickness of approx.
25mm. Cut scones with a cutter 5 cm. in diameter. Place on lightly greased flat
baking tray and bake in the oven approx. 12 min. Dust with icing sugar.
Note: Try other fruits instead of apple and dates such as pear and
sultanas.
