Chicken Goujons with boiled Potatoes and Cheese Sauce

This is a superb and easy way to make a wonderful dinner anytime of the year using Chicken Goujons.


Ingredients

1 chicken breast cut in finger size strips
½ cup plain flour
1 egg lightly whisked
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 tbls oil
1 tbls butter

Method

Place plain flour in a bowl, whisk an egg in a second bowl and place breadcrumbs in a third bowl. Coat the chicken pieces in flour, dip in eggs and lastly coat in breadcrumbs. Place oil and butter in a large frying pan and heat over medium heat. Fry the pieces approx. 3 minutes on each side. Serve Goujons with boiled potatoes, steamed vegetable and cheese sauce. Drizzle with freshly chopped parsley and cracked black pepper.

Note: Add extra seasoning to the breadcrumbs for more flavours and maybe cheese such as parmesan.
