Kamikaze Cocktail

This cocktail is made of equal parts vodka, triple sec and lime juice. Served straight up in a cocktail glass and garnish is typically a wedge or twist of lime. This is the long version of the drink and very stimulating.

Ingredients

5 crushed ice cubes

1 part vodka

1 part triple sec

½ part fresh lime juice

½ part lemon juice

3 part chilled white wine

1 cucumber slice

2 lime slices cut in half

Method

Put the crushed ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Pour vodka, triple sec, lime and lemon juice into the shaker. Shake until well frosted and strain into a long chilled glass. Pour the wine in and stir. Place lime in the drink and the cucumber slice on the glass rim. Serve immediately.

Note: A SoCo Kamikaze is another popular version in which vodka is replaced with Southern Comfort. A Blue Kamikaze is a version in which the Triple Sec is replaced with Blue Curacao Liqueur.
