Parsley sauce is a perfect accompaniment to
meat such as pork, chicken and fish.
Ingredients
40 g butter
40 g plain flour
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground white pepper
500 ml milk
300 ml cream
½ cup finely chopped fresh parsley
Method
Place butter in a saucepan over medium
heat. Add flour, salt and pepper, whisk until evenly mixed. Add milk and bring
to the boil while occasionally stirring. Add cream and parsley and reheat
without boiling. Place in a sauce boat.
Note: Try adding 100 gram shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce.
