Coffee syrup is wonderful to use in drinks such as
cocktails, smoothies or milkshakes.
Ingredients
1 cup caster sugar (220g)
1 cup water (250 ml)
2 tbls instant coffee (10 g)
1 cup water (250 ml)
2 tbls instant coffee (10 g)
Method
Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and
bring to the boil while stirring with a whisk. Allow boiling for approx. 3
minutes while stirring. Allow cooling before poring into containers, store the
syrup in the fridge.
Note: Try adding
30 g unsweetened cocoa powder for mocha syrup.
