Beer and Cheese Quick Bread

This is a brilliant and fast savoury bread to make at home when unexpected visitors arrive. It is also great for toasted sandwiches or served with soup.

Ingredients (serves 6)

3 cups (450g) self-raising flour
1 tsp salt
3 tbls sesame seeds (30g)
1 tbls poppy seeds (12g)
1 cup (120g) grated tasty cheese
355 ml beer

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C normal bake. Combine flour, salt, cheese, poppy and sesame seeds in a bowl. Add beer and stir until combined. Place mixture in a greased loaf tin and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 40 minutes until bread is cooked. Remove the bread from the tin and allow cooling before serving.

Note: Beer can be substituted with carbonated soft drinks.
