This moist healthy square bread with nutty suggestions is
excellent for lunchtime sandwiches.
1 sachet dried yeast (7g)
400 g lukewarm water
300 g wholemeal flour
300 g white bread flour
3 tbls sesame oil (36g)
2 tsp salt (12g)
Method
Place yeast, water and wholemeal flour in a large mixing bowl. Blend until combined and rest for 15 minutes. Add oil and salt, knead the dough by hand or machine until smooth approx 6 minutes. Rest the dough covered for approx. 60 minutes. Remove the dough from the bowl and place on a lightly floured kitchen table. Deflate the dough and shape the dough into a log shape. Roll the bread in sesame seeds and place the dough in a greased 10 x 10 x 28 cm
Note: Try adding
other seeds such as black sesame and poppy seeds.
