This hot chocolate is a bit different from the rest
delivering extra heat on a cold winter night.
Ingredients serve 4
5 tbls cocoa (30g)
90 g Caster sugar
½ tsp grated nutmeg
½ tsp chili powder
1000 ml milk
Method
Place the cocoa powder, sugar, nutmeg and chili in a
saucepan and cream to a smooth paste with a little of the milk. Increasingly
stir in the remaining milk and put the pan on a medium heat and cook to very
hot, but not boiling. Remove from heat and whisk until frothy. Quickly pour
into cups and serve straight away.
Note: For a
little extra indulgence add whipped cream or marshmallows and dust with chili
powder.
