Cosmopolitan

A cosmopolitan is a classic cocktail consisting of vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice served in a martini glass. The cocktail gained popularity again amongst young women after being mentioned in “Sex and the City” and plainly called “Cosmo”.

Ingredients

5 cracked ice cubes

2 part vodka (60ml)

1 part triple sec (30ml)

1 part lime juice (30ml)

1 part cranberry juice (30ml)

Orange peel

Method

Put 5 cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker and pour the liquids in. Shake vigorously until the shaker is well frosted. Strain into a chilled martini/cocktail glass and garnish with orange peel. Serve straight away.

Note: For a sweeter version use sweet lime juice or lemonade instead of lime juice.
