Basic Wholemeal Biscuits

This is a wonderful easy base recipe for quick wholesome biscuits.


Ingredients

250 g soft butter
160 g brown sugar
40 g rolled oats
350 g wholemeal flour

Method

Preheat the oven to 180° C normal bake. Place butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, blend until evenly mixed. Add oats and flour, mix to form a dough. Make 20 gram small round balls and place on a paper lined baking tray with spaces in between. Press the balls slightly on top and place the tray in the oven. Bake for approx. 12 minutes until golden brown.


Note: The finished dough can be rolled into a log, covered with cling wrap and stored in the freezer for later use.
