This is a classic champagne cocktail and it is really worth using a top quality champagne.
Ingredients for 1
1 tsp caster sugar or 1 sugar cube
2 dash angostura bitters
1 part brandy
Chilled Champagne or sparkling wine
Chilled flute glass
Method
Place the sugar in the bottom of a chilled champagne flute and add the angostura bitters. Pour the brandy in the glass and top with chilled champagne. Serve straight away.
Note: For the mocktail version substitute champagne and brandy with sparkling cider for children and guests who do not want to drink alcohol.
