Custard and Cream Chocolate Profiteroles

Profiteroles are a very popular dessert and we all value a good cream cake. This one has fresh fruit, cream, custard and is everybody’s favourite shiny crackling chocolate covered filled profiterole.

Ingredients

Vanilla custard
Whipped cream
Profiteroles (recipe)
Dark chocolate
Strawberries

Method

Whip some fresh cream and melt some chocolate. Dip the top of profiteroles into chocolate and place in the fridge. Allow chocolate to set and cut the profiteroles horizontal in half. Place a mixture of custard and finely chopped strawberries in the bottom. Pipe some whipped cream on the custard mixture and place chocolate lid on top of the cream.

Note: Use blackberries, blueberries, raspberries or a mixture instead of strawberries.
