Wholemeal Crumble

Crumble is excellent to use in different desserts such as trifle, apple, rhubarb and blackberry crumble or deconstructed desserts.


Ingredients

150 g butter
200 g brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
300 g plain wholemeal flour
50 g shredded coconut

Method

Preheat oven to 200ยบ c. Place butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Blend with an electrical mixing until even. Add coconut and flour, blend until mixture is well combined. Spread mixture evenly on flat trays and bake until crispy approx. 15 minutes. Crumble up and store in airtight containers.


Note: Add other ingredients such as nuts and seeds.
