Danish Vanilla Ring Butter Biscuits

This is a classic Danish butter biscuit with a  melt in the mouth feeling and is easy to make at home.


Ingredients

350 g unsalted butter
170 g caster sugar
1 egg
400 g plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla sugar

Method

Place butter, vanilla and sugar in a bowl and cream until light. Add egg and mix evenly. Blend in flour until evenly mixed. Pipe on baking paper lined trays with a star nozzle. Bake in a 180º C preheated oven for approx. 12 minutes. Allow cooling before packing in closed container and keep biscuits in a dry and cool place.

Note: Instead of vanilla try flavours such as lemon, lime, orange, chocolate, coffee and mint.
