Butter Croutons

Homemade croutons are bread cubes mixed with butter or oil and baked until crispy in the oven or on the stove.


Ingredients serve 4

3 slices of square white bread
40 g melted butter

Method

Preheat oven to 180° C normal bake. Cut the crust off the bread and discard. Cut the bread in small cubes and place in a bowl. Mix bread with the melted butter until evenly coated and place on a flat oven tray. Place the tray with the bread cubes in the oven and bake until crispy and lightly brown approx. 10 minutes.


Note: You can also make croutons on a frying pan over a medium heat.
